Reef walls and drift

Cozumel's dives follow reef walls that drop into the blue, often with a gentle current that carries you along. The water is among the clearest in the Caribbean, and the sites are chosen with the day's conditions and the group's level.

When wind closes the port

On windy days the Cozumel port can close. In a package, we simply swap the days: you dive the cenotes or the Playa reef that day and go to Cozumel when the sea allows.

Questions

Can I dive Cozumel as a beginner?

You need the Open Water certification. If you are not certified yet, the Learn to dive package gets you certified and ends with a Cozumel day.

Is it worth going to Cozumel from Playa del Carmen?

Yes, if you are certified: it is the most famous dive site of the region, and the transport is included, so you do not have to organise the crossing.
